Visit to Ypres and the Somme Commemoration Ceremonies 2010

Nine members of the Roger Casement Branch attended the July 1, Annual Remembrance Ceremonies at the Somme.

Wreaths were laid on behalf of the Branch at the Thiepval Memorial, Ulster Memorial Tower and at Guillemont.

The Department of Defence was represented at the ceremonies by Brig-Gen Tom Behan.

The group also attended WWI war memorials in the Ypres Salient including Menin Gate and Tyne Cot Cemetery.

Visits were also made to a number of graves of former relatives of Branch Members.
